WINTERFREEZE CHILI COOKOFF RESULTS
We had a great turnout.  There were 27 red chili contestants, 12 verde and 19 salsa.   The place was packed due to the football playoffs and the band, Seeing Daylight.  They are big sponsors of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and they donated their time to the cause. Laughlin Regional Results

We in Nebraska are mourning the loss of a very dear friend and courageous cook, John BIG JUAN Wright. STEVE WRIGHT
Steve Wright suffered a heart attack on Monday afternoon and passed away before reaching the hospital.  His wife, Aggie, is planning a Celebration of Life and will give us the details when they are finalized.  Steve has been a longtime ICS member.  He has been a cookoff chairman of many events and was on the Board of the Western Regional Cookoff.  Aggie is requesting no calls this week.

Chili Cooks, If you’re coming to the two day New England Regional Chili Cook Off, please consider staying at our host hotel, the Holiday Inn of Springfield/Enfield. The Holiday Inn is only 20 minutes from the Hartford airport (BDL) and is only 15 minutes from the NERCC and is a real nice place to stay. I would make reservations early as there are only 20 rooms in our block and they are going fast....

Adams Motorsports Park Cookoff
Having a cookoff at a gocart track is unique to say the least.  The gocart hobby has a large and enthusiastic following.  The fans turned out for the day last Saturday to have fun racing and to embrace the chili cookoff.  Their enthusiasm for tasting chili equaled their need for speed on the track.  An admission fee of $5 included chili tasting, and a fee of $15 included chili tasting and all day...

WOW! What a GREAT Day! The 16th Annual Great Lakes Regional Chili Cook-off and Motorcycle Show was held on Sunday, October 9th in downtown Plymouth, MI - the biggest Chili Event of the year! MANDATORY TO SPLIT TABLES AT 20
Many Chief Judges have requested splitting tables at 20 bowls rather than at 25 so ICS has granted that request. Beginning with this 2011-2012 cooking season it is NOW MANDATORY that you split tables at 20, judging with 10 on each table and a finals table. Splitting the tables at less than 20 will NOT be allowed.
