MAINE STATE CHILI COOKOFF RESULTS
It was a lovely day in Wells, Maine. We were under the threat of hurricane Irene, but she stayed well to the south of Wells until Sunday, so the cook off could go on without worry. It was one of the days when we almost wished the judging area was outside since the sea breeze kept the cooking areas cooler than inside the gym. The rain, however, held off until later Saturday night so the awards...

JUDGE'S INVITATION AND QUALIFICATION LETTERS

Maine State Update – 8/27/11
Hurricane Irene isn’t supposed to impact the area significantly until Saturday night though there may be a few showers. Just in case the forecast is wrong (that never happens) or there is a change of course, there is a contingency plan to move the cooks into the gymnasium if they can cook on electric. Because of this, you may want to bring a hot plate or other electric cooking device, as a...

MAINE STATE CHILI COOKOFF - AUGUST 27, 2011

One gallon of PC per cook is required to be ready by 11:30 AM (11:00 AM if possible). Cooks sharing a booth can combine into one pot but there must be a gallon per cook. Leftover competition does not qualify as PC....

This Sunday event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Arroyo...
