SOUTHERN MAINE REGIONAL - AUGUST 29, 2010 

Friends,

The Southern Maine Regional Chili Cook Off was held 8-29-10 at Scarborough Downs Race Track in Scarborough, ME.

We had a tremendous cooks welcome party hosted by long time ICS Cook Bill Noonan and his lovely wife Sherry the night before the SMRCC…….then the cooks started showing up at 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

The cooks appeared to be very happy with the venue site which was right next to where the ponies that were racing during the day.

The day was hot and beautiful and there was an air of anticipation.

Chief Judge (and 2007 WCCC Champ) Jerry Buma did a fine job with help from Sherry Noonan.

1st - Mike Merola CT 1st time to the Worlds!

2nd - Mary Alice Kropp NH

1st - Mary Alice Kropp NH (A VERY happy MAK)

2nd - Wes Carlson IL

3rd Mike Merola CT

4th - Honorable mention, Michael Freedman CT

5th Honorable Mention, Jim Heywood NY

New ICS Cook, Paul Williams, won Best Booth, Showmanship and People’s Choice!
