BEATY DAYS REGIONAL CHILI COOKOFF - OCTOBER 29, 2011
Location: Beatty Cottonwood Park
Only about 2 ½ weeks to go until this popular cook-off, Traditional Red, Chili Verde and Salsa contests. Remember new rules state we must have a minimum of 10 contestants for each category and we need 20 Red Chili cooks to remain a Regional. So please come out and support this event. If you want to just judge that is welcomed, too. All contests qualify for the World’s Championship if all requirements are met. Prizes are as follows.
Traditional Red Chili Verde Salsa
1st Place $500 + plaque 1st Place $300 + plaque 1st Place 50/50 Payback
2nd Place $200 + plaque 2nd Place $200 + plaque
3rd Place $100 + plaque 3rd Place $100 + plaque
Cooking Time: 12 Noon – 3PM Cooking Time: 10AM – 1PM Turn In: 11:30AM

+ 1 gallon People’s Choice Chili
BOOTH AND SHOWMANSHIP AWARDS
$5 Entry Fee Credit for each additional gallon of Peoples Choice chili, with a maximum credit of $10 per team. People’s Choice prize is $100. Also we have a Best First Time Cook Award.
10% of your entry fee will be donated to the Beatty School Band

Also don’t forget to stop in and see Fred and Patti Summers at their HAPPY BURRO CHILI & BEER Friday and Saturday. Saturday after the cook-off they will have live music featuring Ronnie Keel.
