(Taylorville)—Winners were announced in Saturday’s International Chilli Society “Chillinois Regional” competition which took place at the first day of the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Chillifest.
In chilli judging, Jeff Netser won first place, which earned him 500 dollars and a plaque. Second place was won by Bob Dunn, who receive 200 dollars and a plaque. Third place in the chilli judging was Dearl Thomas, who receive 100 dollars and a plaque.
In chilli verde judging Saturday at the Taylorville Chamber Chillifest, Aldo Klinghammer won first place, and received 200 dollars and a plaque. Second place winner was Julie Netzer who won 50 dollars and a plaque; Lloyd Weir won third place in the chilli verde judging and received 25 dollars and a plaque.
In salsa judging Saturday at the Taylorville Chamber Chillifest, Julie Netzer won first place and received 100 dollars and a plaque; Bob Hall won second place and received 25 dollars and a plaque; Aldo Klinghammer won third place and received a plaque.
Weir also received the showmanship plaque and 100 dollars.
