The 10th annual Happy Trails Chili Cookoff will once again be held in beautiful Lenny Brewster Sports Center Park on October 22, 2011. The Rotary club of Apple Valley and Valley Toyota will be hosting the 10th Annual Happy Trails Chili Cookoff, formally the Wannatouchama Chili Cookoff. This year there will be a Car Show in conjunction with the cookoff and also a Horseshoe Tournament. There’s a free Friday Night Welcome Dinner for cooks, judges and sponsors and also a free Saturday Morning Breakfast - 7 AM to 8:30 AM. There’ll be live music throughout the day and your emcee will be none other than the official emcee for the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff, Claude Covington. He is just back off of his tour from Manchester, New Hampshire. For those of you with RVs (recreational vehicles) there is free dry camping.

 

There is over $3200 in prize money-WOW!

Red Chili - first place $1000, second place $500, third place 250

Chili Verde - first-place $750 second place $400, third place $200

Salsa first-place $100, second place $50, third place $25

People’s Choice - firstplace $300, second place $200, third place $100
