CINCO de MARZO - A CHILLY CHILI STROLL - MARCH 5, 2011
I’m pleased to announce a brand new cookoff! You’ve been to New Hampshire in the fall, now come experience it in the late winter. The beautiful town of North Conway will be the location of “Cinco de Marzo – A Chilly Chili Stroll” on, you guessed it, March 5, 2011. The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce has been holding a chili cookoff for seven years and this year is adding an ICS competition. In addition to the people’s choice competition (one gallon mandatory) there will be ICS competitions in all three categories. Both salsa and chili verde will get you straight into the 2011 WCCC. Red chili will get you into the 2011 Last Chance Cookoff. However, if we can get 20 red cooks, it will blast your right into the WCCC!
Mark your calendars now and plan to spend some time in this beautiful location. There will still be plenty of skiing and other winter activities at that time. The Mount Washington Valley is the home to 20 surrounding towns, many family attractions, 770,000 acres of National Forest, 7 alpine ski resorts, 6 Nordic ski and snowshoe centers, 200 miles of snowmobile trails and much, much more. For more information about the area see http://www.mtwashingtonvalley.org/.
Please come support this new event and help make it a success right from the start. Flying? We can help set you up with tables, canopies, etc.
Stay tuned for more details. The ICS event page for this cookoff is http://www.chilicookoff.com/Event/Event_Display.asp?EventID=2841.
We hope to see you there.
