NORTHERN ARIZONA BACK TO BACKS

For the first time ever, the Northern Arizona Back to Backs will both be held in Flagstaff, AZ. No more having to break down and set up somewhere else on Sunday.  The 28th Annual Route 66 Regional Chili Cookoff and the 40th Annual Arizona State Championship Chili Cookoff will be held June 11 and 12 at Thorpe Park, at the base of Mars Hill and the Lowell Observatory (you know, where the ex-planet Pluto was discovered).

The Flagstaff Chili Society is proud to be the new host of the state championship and would like to thank Fred Eck, Bill Dinges, Kevin Whitenack, Linda Mathiesen and Dick Swenberger for all the hard work they did in their years with the event to keep it continuous and classy. There will be security onsite Saturday night at the cookoff site and if you are flying in, arrangements can be made for tables and tents.  As with most summer weekends, we know you will have choices as to where to cook.  We feel we have one of the best judging crews available that weekend, with an experienced chief judge and scorekeeper, a fair number of ICS circuit judges and very experienced local judges who have been doing the event for years.

We would love to have you visit beautiful northern Arizona and the city of Flagstaff.  For more info, contact Paul Whitney at golfnchili@aol.com
