As you can see from the listing below this cook off was so well received and the ICS members who entered last year impressed the organizers so much it is a go for this year. If there is anyone looking for a cookoff to attend this is the place to be! Just ask the over 40 cooks who attended last years event if they enjoyed themselves and you wont get a negative word from anyone.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort has an abundance of activities for family, foodies, and friends. Come on out and escape the normal hectic pace of a chili cook-off and stay at this award-wining resort situated on 2,000 acres in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. Cook-off to benefit the Farmington, PA Volunteer Fire Department.
ENTRY FEES & PRIZES:
Red Chili - $35.00 plus 1 gallon People’s Choice required
1st place - $2,000.00
2nd place – $500.00
3rd place - $250.00

STAY AT NEMACOLIN WOODLANDS RESORT - COOKS’ SPECIAL:
$139 for The Lodge and $149 for a Two Bedroom Townhouse
Rates are per accommodation, per night. Available June 10 & 11, 2011 to cook’s registered in the 2nd Annual Five Alarm Mountain Madness. Rate is based on a two night minimum stay of Friday and Saturday.

We, (Ghon and Kim Eckley) will be in charge of all judging and scorekeeping again this year. And I feel pretty safe in assuming that this cook off will be a World Qualifier for all 3 events under the new ICS rules. Please reserve your rooms ASAP because they do not last long.
