Dear Chili Cooks, Here we are in the dead of the winter….thinking about cooking chili at the 2011 ICS New England Regional Chili Cook Off! Our cook off is May 7, 2011 in beautiful Somers,CT. Somers is only 20 minutes from Hartford and Springfield. The NERCC has become the BIGGEST ICS sanctioned Chili Cook Off in New England and we couldn’t have done it without your help and we never forget that. There’s a lot of stuff going on at the NERCC. We’ve got a DEFCON Death Match wing eatin contest, raffle for cooks only, BIG welcome party the night before, great music and all of your friends will be here ….and the BEST chili’s and salsa’s anywhere! There are some new rules that our chief judge will go over at the cooks meeting. If you want to see them prior, please go to www.chilicookoff.com If any cooks will be flying in, we can provide a tent, table, stove, helper and whatever else you might need. Set up is from 7-9 a.m. Announcements will be at approx. 5 p.mish. Our chief judge is the 1997 ICS World Red Chili Champion Steve Falkowski and he will be ably assisted by his lovely wife Audrey as our chief score keeper.
