CINCO de MARZO - A CHILLY CHILI STROLL - MARCH 5, 2011

Cinco de Marzo – A Chilly Chili Stroll

March 5, 2011

Decades Restaurant Parking Lot

North Conway, NH

Mary Alice and I had a great meeting last Friday with the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce, the organization that is putting on this event.  They are really excited about adding an ICS-sanctioned cookoff to their already popular people’s choice cookoff (this is their 8th year).  The White Mountains are beautiful in winter.

This is the first cookoff in the Northeast this year.  Why not come and get a qualification or two or three out of the way.  Why wait? Remember, if we get 20 cooks, it’s an instant regional.  Help us achieve this goal and send three cooks to Manchester for the WCCC.

The people’s choice part will distributed over four different venues (one being the ICS cookoff).  Visitors will have a “passport” that the will get stamped at each venue.  A minimum of one gallon of people’s choice is MANDATORY and must be ready to serve at noon if you want to compete in the ICS events.  Leftover competition chili does not qualify as people’s choice.

Cooking will be done outdoors in a parking lot next to a restaurant.  You will need to unload and park in a nearby lot.  You will be able to bring your car back in afterwards to load out.  If I recall correctly, there are nice views of the White Mountains from the parking lot.

This is still ski season so you can expect some traffic on Friday night.
