Riding the Rails to the Route 66 Regional and Arizona State
Hey all you SoCal Chili Cooks! Thinking about coming up to heaven on earth, God’s country itself, Northern Arizona for the Back to Backs in June, but don’t want to drive? Thought about taking the train? Amtrack leaves LA around 6 pm on Friday night, goes thru Riverside and San Bernadino, up thru Victorville and brings you into Flagstaff at about 6:30 am, about 7 blocks from the cookoff. We can have a truck waiting to haul your gear to the site (one of my sponsors is Budget) and the car rental place is across the street. When the Sunday cookoff is over, we can get your gear back to the station and you can have dinner downtown at one of our many fine restaurants, then board the evening train back to LA LA land. If you think this might be the way to go, let me know, I’ll set it up. Meantime, best of luck out there on the trail!
