LITTLETON ELKS (BACK TO BACK) COLORADO DISTRICTS - APRIL 9-10, 2011

WITH JUST OVER A WEEK UNTIL THE COOKOFFS, IT LOOKS LIKE WE MADE OUR 20 REDS FOR BOTH DAYS, PROVIDED EVERYONE WHO SIGNED UP SHOWS UP!! IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO COME OUT AND COOK TO QUALIFY IN COLORADO, THEN CALL OR SIGN UP ASAP.

Remember, if we get more than 20 Red cooks each day, these cookoffs will become Regionals that day, and you will qualify for Red that day. Verde and Salsa will qualify, since we have over 7 entries already signed up for each day.

In an effort to get more Red cooks, if a current ICS Red Chili cook brings in a new non-ICS cook, to enter Red Chili, the current ICS Red Chili cook will have their Red entry fee waived, and the new cook will have their $50 ICS membership paid for by the Elks Lodge. (This has worked!!)

Saturday, April 9th - Ropin’ Peppers for Military Kids District

Sunday, April 10th - Cowboys for Kids District

Both cookoffs support Cowboys for Kids, a great organization that helps military kids through equine therapy, ages 9-12, that have a parent overseas or that have lost a parent overseas.

Security will be on sight Saturday night, so you can leave tents and supplies overnight.

Saturday’s events also include a Guac-Off, and a Little Miss and a separate Little Mr. Chili Pepper contests. Sunday’s events will include a Jalapeno eating contest, and again Little Miss and Mr. Chili Pepper contests.
