MAIN STREET HEAT CHILI COOKOFF - MARYLAND

What a beautiful day at Mt Airy MD on Saturday. Ok, it was cloudy, in the low 50’s and damp, but the cooks were ready to cook their best pot and the spectators came by the thousands. They had about 30 chilis to taste and lots of vendors to visit. This cookoff was back in Downtown Mt Airy after several years and the crowds loved it. Main Street was closed all day and there was plenty of heat.

Ellie Bonde and Sharon Baharoff did a great job along with a dedicated group of volunteers to put on a such an event. If you haven’t been to this one, put it on your list to visit next year.
