Maureen Barrett, 2009 Chili World’s Champion, will be your Host and Chairman for this new ICS sanctioned Reg. Chili Cookoff.
Maureen and the Village of Willow Springs has really worked hard to make this a fun and exciting event for all. They have created several contest and events for the entire family from a Bean Bag Tournament and Bike decorating contest, to a Chili Pepper theme Cookie contest. All this and more! Andfor you Chiliheads, there will be Salsa, Verde and Red Chili. All of these qualify for the 2010 World’s Championship Oct. 2 & 3 in Manchester, NH.
Willow Springs will furnish tables and chairs to the chili contestants. You are asked to bring all your other equipment including covering.
We will arrange for tents for “fly ins” if you give us notice.
The chili cooking season is getting shorter and if you need to get qualified, this would be a very good one to attend. You could also win $1,000 for your Red Chili win.
