WE’RE CLOSE TO OUR 20 NEEDED RED COOKS EACH DAY TO KEEP OUR REGIONALS!!!
Only 4 weeks remain to cook in the Back to Back AZ Copperstate Regional and AZ Valley of the Sun Regional cookoffs again this year on March 8th and 9th in our lovely Ahwatukee Park. We will again have security on site Saturday night so cooks can leave their tents and belongings instead of packing it all up and setting up again. What a deal!!! Entry fees are $35 for Red, $30 for Verde, and $15 for Salsa. In addition, 1 gallon of People’s Choice is required. If you need tables, chairs or canopies they are available for rent. A table plus 2 chairs is $10 and a canopy is $15 for a two-day rental.
Prize money each day is: Red - $500, $200, $100, Verde - $200, $125, $75, Salsa - $100, Prize, Prize, and People’s Choice $100 to 1st Place. Turn in times are 1 hour earlier on Sunday.

Lodging is still available at the 4 Hotels where we have special prices (Homewood Suites by Hilton, Hampton Inn, Clarion Hotel and the Extended Stay America). Please view the Cookoff Flyer on the ICS website, while registering. These are terrific prices for the Phoenix area in peak season.
The two time and current, 2012 & 2013 World’s Champion in Red Chili, Bob Plager, and his lovely wife, Kathy, the 1998 World’s Champion in Red Chili, will be our Chief Judge and Chief Scorekeeper for both cookoffs.
Come to Ahwatukee, have fun cooking, and get qualified for this year’s World’s Championships. Samples of Sunsweet prunes will be given away by Bob Plager, along with sample packs of Dark Chocolate covered Plum Sweets Amazins, and sample packs of Plum Amazins. (These went fast at the Laughlin cookoffs.)
