Hey, Memorial Day weekend is about over and it’s time to start thinking about Chili cooking again. To all you cooks out there, especially if you’re thinking about going to Clarksville, MO on June 7, don’t forget about the Little Flower Heritage Days in Springfield, IL on June 8, the next day. We’ll be doing Red, Verde and Salsa. Cooking will be done under a large tent and tables and chairs will be provided. There will be entertainment as well during the afternoon and big crowds are expected. This cookoff took a hiatus as an ICS cookoff for a few years but we’re back - as good as ever. We’re back as a district but I’m trying to get enough early signups to guarantee regional status and a qualifier to the ICS World”s Championship Chili Cookoff. So, if you haven’t signed up yet, please do so as soon as you know you’ll be cooking. We’re only 90 miles from Clarksville and there are plenty of motels and other activities in the area so make a weekend of it. Cookoff times are early - Red turn in at 2:00pm - so you can get out of town early if necessary. Chief judge and scorekeeper will be the Tom Calvert and most of our judges are experienced. An application is attached so you can signup with the app if you wish. Or you can apply electronically. As usual you can call or text me if you have questions. Can’t wait to see you….
